Washington, D.C. Trip

The Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association (WBCA), of Laredo, Texas, is invited every year to take a trip to Washington D.C. While in D.C., members of the WBCA delegation host a reception to invite federal officials, legislators, cabinet members and department heads to Laredo for the 113th Washington’s Birthday Celebration.  Ambassadors also get the rare opportunity to enter the Oval Office, tour the nation’s capital and visit Mt. Vernon.

Those who traveled to D.C. this year as part of the 2010 WBCA delegation included WBCA ambassadors of the 113th Celebration, the WBCA executive committee, WBCA members and WBCA affiliate representatives.

The 2010 Ambassadors  are:  John C. Galo and Anna Benavides Galo, portraying George and Martha Dandridge Washington; U.S. Abrazo Children - Madison Grace Rosales and Stephan Cole Weathers; Abrazo Children representing Mexico – Leticia Carolina Garcia Cavazos and Daniel Octavio Gomez Rechy; and Rita Ashley Rodriguez and Jorge Andres Meza, representing Princess Pocahontas and “Howling Wolf – Chief of Mystic Skies.”
