LAREDO, TX – The Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association (WBCA) has formally announced Major General Tracy Norris as the Air Show Marshal for the 2019 WBCA Stars & Stripes Air Show Spectacular Sponsored by Miller Lite. Along with the official announcement of Major General Norris, WBCA is pleased to announce the entertainment lineup and Early Bird promotion for the 21st annual WBCA Stars & Stripes Air Show Spectacular.
The WBCA Stars and Stripes Air Show Spectacular Sponsored by Miller Lite will take place during the 122nd Washington’s Birthday Celebration on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Laredo International Airport (Maher Entrance). For a limited time only, WBCA will be offering general admission tickets for ONLY $5 until December 31st exclusively at www.wbcaairshow.com.
After December 31, general admission tickets will be $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Additional sponsors include Falcon Bank. In-Kind Sponsor: Ringo’s BBQ.

Major General Tracy Norris received an Army ROTC scholarship and began her military career in 1986 after graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She has attended the Human Resource Management Qualification Course and is Dual Status Commander Certified.
Major General Norris’ previous assignment was the Assistant Deputy Adjutant General. She also served as the Commander of the 176th Engineer Brigade from July 2012 to April 2015. Prior to these positions, she was assigned as the Chief Facilities and Maintenance, Chief of Staff, 36th Infantry Division, and deployed to Iraq in 2010, in support of Operation New Dawn, where the 36ID commanded and controlled the nine southern provinces of Iraq. She currently serves as the Deputy Adjutant General for Army and the Commander of the Texas Army National Guard and was recently appointed by Governor Abbott to the Adjutant General of Texas.

This year the WBCA Stars & Stripes Air Show Spectacular Sponsored by Miller Lite will feature the A-10C Thurderbolt II Demonstration Team. The A-10 is the Air Force’s Premiere close air support aircraft and will be performing high-speed and low-speed passes. Adding to the excitement will be a slew of amazing aerial and static displays which will feature a P-51 Mustang, a Smart Jet Car, skydiving team and more.
The Air Show Sponsored by Miller Lite, will remain one of the most affordable air shows in the country – just $10 for adults, and children 12 and under will get in FREE. Early Bird Tickets for ONLY $5 will be available exclusively online at wbcaairshow.com untilDec. 31. After Dec. 31, tickets will be $10.
Preferred seating will also be available inside the grounds and includes the Flight Line Chalet for $20 and a bleacher section for only $5.
The Flight Line Chalet pre-sale ticket includes general admission to the air show grounds, access to static displays, a sun and shaded seating area, premium viewing area, complimentary pizza, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and exclusive restrooms.
The Afterburner Club Sponsored by Falcon Bank pre-sale ticket includes general admission to the air show grounds, access to the static displays, guaranteed seats in the Afterburner Club, a sun and shaded seating area, premium viewing area, complimentary food from Ringo’s BBQ and non-alcoholic beverages, complimentary alcoholic beverages and exclusive restrooms. Individual tickets are $50. Tables of 10 are also available at the Afterburner Club for $500.
General Admission, Flight Line Chalet, Afterburner Club and 2019 Celebration event tickets will also be available at the WBCA Ticket Kiosk inside Mall del Norte beginning February 11– while supplies last!
The 122nd Washington’s Birthday Celebration will take place January 24 – February 25, 2019. Join us for the “Celebration with Something for Everyone!”
