The WBCA Jalapeño Festival Sponsored by La Costeña brought back all of the fun elements of this world-renowned festival including the Miss Jalapeño Contest, the La Costeña Jalapeño Eating Contest, and much, much more!

The previous record for the most Jalapeños eaten during the contest was set by professional eater Patrick “Deep Dish” Bertoletti at a very hot (and painful) 266 jalapeños in 15 minutes!!! For us non-professionals, Braulio Ramirez set the local record in 1992 with a whopping 141 jalapeños eaten in 15 minutes. This is one competition you have to see to believe!
